  17. <p>     Few things symbolized the high-flying empire of Donald Trump
  18. better than the northeastern shuttle that bears his name. Last
  19. week USAir reached a deal to fly and possibly purchase the
  20. airline. "I loved it," confesses Trump about his airline. "But
  21. the world's changed a lot. We're absolutely in a depression."
  22. Trump had stopped making interest payments on the shuttle, which
  23. he bought in 1989. As a result, bankers have been trying to find
  24. someone else to operate it. While details of the deal still need
  25. to be pounded out, Trump can at least look forward to some
  26. freedom from creditors. Says he: "The deal gets me out of $360
  27. million in debt, which is fabulous."
